App blocking across devices: what actually syncs?
A phone-only boundary can leave the same distraction open on a laptop. A shared plan helps you think about both.
A shared rule is only part of the setup
A rule describes the habit, timing, and access behavior. Each device still needs permissions and a local selection of the apps it can protect. App names and operating-system identifiers are not interchangeable across platforms.
How Habit Protector Pro connects your plan
Pro supports shared rules and sync across up to five of your own devices. Sign in, enable account sync, connect the devices, and select the relevant apps locally. The app shows what is supported on each platform.
Account for disconnected devices
A device cannot receive new cloud updates while offline. Existing local protection can continue, and updates reconcile after the connection returns. Set up each device before a period without internet rather than relying on a last-minute remote change.
Choose a habit all participating devices can support
Desktop and mobile capabilities differ. A breathing or reflection habit may fit more devices than a sensor-based movement goal. Check the habit picker and the rule’s device readiness before depending on shared protection.
Test the actual switch
Try moving from the phone to the computer during the hours you want to protect. Check the rule and app selection on both. Cross-device support is useful only when the devices in your routine are actually configured.
